BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING
AND PUBLIC COMMENT
April 21, 2026
Public comment is usually allowed, time permitting, after the regular meeting. It is sometimes limited to only the subjects on the Agenda, sometimes any subject matter is allowed. It seems to be at the Board Chair’s discretion.

There was a lot of public comment regarding the proposed new zoning. Everyone who spoke was against it in some way.
One woman was not allowed to speak because she resides in Roanoke County, but borders Franklin County. These changes could certainly affect her. Yet, our County Administrator resides in Vinton and he can make unilateral decisions when it comes to applying for permits.
The synopsis on the right is compliments of Supervisor Dan Quinn
